About us

Clive Adolph, Ceri Bissell and Paul PointerPBA Accountants started life as Freeman Baker Associates, a practice founded in 1955 in St Albans. Through growth and natural expansion, the Crewkerne office was opened in 1978 and the Hungerford office in 1985, headed up by Clive Adolph, and later joined by Ceri Bissell and Paul Pointer.

Continuing success and expansion, recommendations and the strengthening of local ties, has created the opportunity for the Hungerford office to demerge from the other branches of the business, and so PBA Accountants was born.

Our aim is, and has always been, is to work in partnership with our clients, to become a key part of their business and provide a comprehensive, tailored service backed up by our broad expertise and experience. We pride ourselves on our personal, friendly approach to client relationships, and aim to be welcoming, cheerful and understanding while providing all the traditional services you would expect to guide you through the mounting legislation and red tape involved in running a business. We also visit clients’ premises whenever possible to gain a real insight into the business and its specific needs, and where you want it to go to achieve real success.

Every client is unique and deserves a unique service. Whatever your requirements – whether starting up a new business venture or planning your retirement, Self Assessment and tax planning, corporates, auditing, payroll, business planning and development, computerised accounting systems, or employment advice – you can be sure that our specialist teams can help.
